Bad hair days are like most other bad days. Sure, you can get through them, but you’re probably not going to look good for pictures, and you’ll have to deal with the kind of looks that say you’ve just pulled your hair out. That’s why this week I’m showing you some of my hair solutions.
With bad hair days coming along every so often, you know what’s coming next: the dreaded “I need to straighten my hair” moment. And you will likely try all of the usual hairdressing tricks, only to find that when you wake up the next morning, your hair was still a mess. Well, if you’re looking for a new and safer approach to getting rid of your bad hair days, there is a solution to your problem—and it involves science.
Bad hair days can happen to the best of us, and for many of us, they happen often. Whether it’s that one bad hair day that you just can’t get out of your head, or you just need to find a way to deal with your frizz, these five hairstyles will solve your bad hair day, with a minimal commitment.
There are days when I wake up and can’t seem to get my hair under control. Either I don’t have the time to tame it, or it just refuses to comply. But I refuse to leave the home without at least trying to make my hair seem decent. When my hair is unruly, I feel that it detracts from my whole appearance. Rather of succumbing to the chaos, I turned to the ever-reliable Pinterest for some morning inspiration. Take a look at the tutorials below to discover how to make these hairstyles for poor hair days.
The Bun Half-Up
Accept your untidy hairstyle, but dress it up with this newest trend. Simply gather those stray front hairs and tuck them back into a sloppy bun. Leave the rest of your hair alone and take advantage of the current trend while it lasts!
With a Twist on the Side Braid
While a casual side braid is usually a good choice for poor hair days, I really like how this style elevates it. To begin, french braid the front part of your hair down to your ear, then transition into a regular braid. If a french braid is too daunting, just braid the front part of your hair in a normal braid. Once you’ve reached your ear, weave the braid into the rest of your hair to form a side braid.
The Bun in the Loop
This loop bun, a creative new alternative to the sloppy bun, is a new favorite of mine. Simply draw your hair back into a low ponytail as though it were a low ponytail. Continue tying the hair tie around the base after you’ve pulled your hair into a loop. Taking a strand of hair from the bun, wrap it around the hair tie. Using a bobby pin, secure the underside.
Pony with a Fishtail
This is the ideal lazy day look for you fortunate ducks with long, beautiful hair. Make a high ponytail with your hair and divide it into two parts. Take a tiny piece of the right portion’s exterior and cross it over to the left section. Alternate between the right and left sides until the fishtail braid is complete. After you’ve done braiding, pull the braid slightly apart to give it a sloppy appearance.
The Bun on the Low Side
This stylish little number is a wonderful alternative to the sloppy bun. Keep your natural part, or even part it more on one side, and draw your hair back instead of pulling it straight back. Make a sloppy bun slightly off to the side (this technique may help!). To maintain the laid-back feel, pull a few pieces out in front.
