3 Ways to Use Texturizing Volume Spray

Texturizing Volume Spray is just what it sounds like: a spray to give your hair volume. It’s been around for a few years, but recently it’s been getting a lot of buzz, largely due to the viral video of a woman who lost all her hair after using it.

Lately, I’ve been pretty interested in using hair products to give my hair a boost. I have a couple of simple, inexpensive products that I’ve been using, but nothing that really makes my hair look like it’s on steroids. So, when I found out that TryMeRate had a Giveaway going, I decided to enter. Entering was easy, but I had a problem. I wanted to try the Bobbi Brown Volume Spray, but I didn’t have a coupon to use.

Texturizing Volume Spray is one of my favorite hair products. I use it quite often, especially when I’m styling my hair for a specific event. I think that with any hair product it’s best to use a little bit of product and see how it feels on your hair before using too much. It’s amazing how much hair seems to respond to product use.

I’ve always considered myself to be a competent hairdresser. I learned how to use the flat iron in high school, the curling iron in college, and my daily regimen in the years to follow. I didn’t realize my hair’s full potential until I found texturizing spray. YOU GUYS, YOU GUYS, YOU GUYS, YOU I can’t emphasize this enough: texturing spray will completely transform your life. Straight hair becomes edgier, ponytails become less flat, waves get more chaotic, and so on. I’m a huge admirer of Living Proof’s products, so when the Dry Volume Blast was announced, I was all on it. This product is extremely addictive to me since it gives me both volume and texture. Here are a handful of my favorite applications!

1. Add volume & texture to straight hair

Do you ever feel like something is missing from your hair after flat ironing it? Stick straight hair may seem flat and uninteresting, which is why Dry Volume Blast is a game-changer. Spray beneath portions of your hair from roots to ends. Rough up your hair by massaging the substance into it. On the right, you’ll get this textured, edgier appearance. Isn’t there a huge difference?

2. Boost the volume of a ponytail

My hair is usually thrown up in a ponytail, but it looks more like a last-minute repair than a polished hairstyle. My ponytail appears bigger and more styled after I use Dry Volume Blast on my roots (instead of looking like I just came from the gym). Just make sure your hair is a little rough before putting it back into a ponytail. To add volume to your hair, gently pull at the sides and crown after it’s returned. The texture spray will add fullness and keep it in place.

3. Make waves & braids stay put

Another fantastic feature of texturizing spray is that it really adds texture to your hair, making it easier to style. Hair that is clean and velvety smooth does not usually retain a curl or a braid effectively. If you spray Dry Volume Blast all over your hair before curling or braiding, you’ll notice that it holds the style considerably better.
