I agree, pinked up products make me cringe, even my 8 year old daughter (who presumably these products are aimed at) hates pink, she insisted on a blue DS. Our website has a lot of pink products amongst the 60,000 we sell, but I'd never dream of producing a pink section aimed at women. I'd like to think our marketing at MoreFrom.co.uk is aimed at savvy individuals who are tired of being stereotyped (whatever their sex happens to be). I'd be interested in your feedback, but be warned we do have a bit of pink in our logo.

This a brilliant article which reflects many women's views on this subject. Perhaps it is being thought about too hard by our opposite sex.

Another influencing factor could be, as men have become more influenced by aesthetics (the use of moisturisers after shaving, more cosmetic products aimed at men, more image conscious branding in clothes due in large part, sadly, to one Mr Beckham), it is felt that this is the single most important thing women consider when buying technology. However, I think maybe the pink thing (nintendo have just started a pink DS campaign) is aimed at lower hanging fruit in the fairer sex than savvy, educated business women. The analagy of men at a dance is perfect and this is their tentative foray; young girls, WAG wannabes, and dare I say it? yes, chavs. Once they have conquered the mass market to get their confidence up, maybe then they will get the cahones to approach women further up the food chain.

A bit off topic perhaps, but still - which theme are you using? I really love the sidebar style.

I agree: I feel really disappointed when I cannot find a good tech product with a female-targeted description nor adv.
I have enough of almost-naked thin and beautiful girls on tech leaflet and websites.
While doing many things and the same time, I wish to have tech stuff on my side..
